This blog has definitely resembled more of a still life lately than a streaming news and information source. The ironic part of that is that it’s because so much has been going on rather than there’s nothing to report…

No one is going to miss these on the front of your bike...

Here’s a couple of hot-out-of-the-mold pictures of the 2010 Milano Lime hoods that we’ll be producing. This brings the color total up to 15, which is a lot. Hopefully we’ll be equipping the Hüdz team with them at Nationals in Bend next week. We should also have some great representation in the range of races that will be happening there and we’ll give a full report after (though no promises on when, since it’ll be coming from New Zealand while I’m there on holiday).

A Hüdz-equipped Helen Wyman has been having a great season in Europe so far with a couple podiums and wins so far. She and Jonathan Page have been campaigning with Hüdz all year and the feedback that they’ve given is that using the SoftGrip hoods is a big advantage for controlling their bikes in the gnarly conditions that European ‘cross lives on.

Amy Dombroski has parted ways with Richard Sachs and is doing her own thing for the remainder of the ‘cross season. When the split happened she sent over an email asking for some Hüdz for her new bikes since prefers the shape and softer rubber compound on her gloveless hands. It’s one of the primary reasons that we started testing SoftGrip Hüdz out with ‘crossers a year ago – the sport really punishes equipment and riders and providing those little advantages in grip or comfort pay off big.

Off to Bend for nationals next week. I’ll post updates from the frozen north as much as possible…

Cheers.
