Archives for the month of: October, 2009

I ran into James Huang at the ‘cross race last weekend and he mentioned that his long-term test of our SoftGrip hoods had been posted to BikeRadar. He’s been ‘crossin’ em and generally abusing them for a month or two. You can see the full review here, but a quick excerpt: “A more natural grip, a wide array of colours, a high-quality fit and feel, two durometer choices, and even a reasonable price ($29.95 – UK price TBA)  if there’s a downside to Hudz’ latest little bits of rubber, we haven’t found it yet.”

5 stars, sweet…

Now I can’t wait to see it up on cyclingnews.com…

It’s been weeks since this blog was updated and that is just wrong. Especially when there is so much good stuff going on.

Jonathan Page has been making a serious romp around Europe complete with SoftGrip Hüdz for his DA7900 levers. The word from JP is that he thinks they are a real advantage in the mud, and for better control in general. We’re very pleased to hear that…

The Hüdz-Subaru cyclocross team has also been leaving a mark all over cross in the Rockies, with numerous wins, and a smattering of podium spots as well. Matt Pacocha has proven that he is absolutely the best ‘Crosser in Colorado with a real job and he leads the BCR standings by a pretty solid bit. The team as a whole has been killing it and leads the BCT standings here also (and by a much larger margin)…

Elsewhere, Hüdz-sponsored Rock Lobster-HRS rider Josh Snead took the NorCal CCCP race this last weekend with a set of Celeste SoftGrip DA7800 Hüdz. His teammate Dave Wyandt also grabbed some glory with third, and was followed home by another teammate in 4th, Chris McGovern.

We’ll get some pictures added to this post as soon as possible; because it there’s no pic, it didn’t happen…

Wendy Williams wins the first Cross Crusade in Portland racing for the Hüdz-Subaru cross team. In Colorado Rebecca Much picks up a second and Matt Pacocha picks up a second and third (behind a super-strong Jake Wells) in Frisco for Hüdz-Subaru. Crazy thing is that’s not even the big results.

Jonathan Page wins day one in the mud at Gloucester taking advantage of our new SoftGrip DA7900 Hüdz and follows it up with a second place after a 3:1 battle with Cyclocross World. And Helen Wyman takes a solid 8th in Treviso in the first round of the World Cup.
